next year, is it going to happen?

On Friday the 21 of 2012 the world is scheduled to come to an end, according to the Mayans. But really is it going to? If it does that sucks. Otherwise the world is going to be the same place it always has been. There might be a little more danger, but in the world we live in now there is always something to be scared about. There will always be some stupid idiots in the world that will cause things like what happened last Friday, these things might become more common. Some will say that gun control is the problem, but its not the guns that kill, its the person who aims and shoots it. Anyways... Maybe i will see everyone again, but if i don't bye.

Need to rent a puppy?

Do you ever want a puppy, but know that you could never take on the responsibility of having one? Well in Utah one student is changing it all. Jenna Miller is a student at Brigham Young University who thinks that puppies should be rented out. This way you get the puppy for a few hours and then you give it back and you have no worries. Its very cheap to rent one to, going from $15-$25 per hour. She thinks that its a very good idea because otherwise these puppies would be sitting at the pound in cages. This way they get out and see things and get exercise. Some other people say its bad because the puppies are going from house to house so they never get a connection with someone so they become harder to train. So far all of the renties have now adopted the puppies, so the idea is a great one.

Hunters find bodies in the woods

Five months ago two young girls disappeared, they were cousins while riding there bikes by a lake in Iowa. The county sheriff says the bodies were found but wont give up anymore information like where they were found. They didn't know where the bodies were and everyone was hoping that the best would come out of the it. When the Sheriff told the parents that they had found the bodies he was very upset and he said "This is difficult for us to go through. It's difficult thing for the community." As of now the two young girls are being sent to the state medical examiners office to figure out more about there deaths, exactly when they died. They also will confirm that they for-sure are the two young cousins. The place that the girls were found is also being looked at, checking to see if they can find anymore evidence. More about the girls will be said on Thursday the sixth.

Would you kill for the lotto?

In 2006 Abraham Shakespeare won the lottery, winning $30 mill. He spent the money paying off debts of his family and friends, he missed being normal and being able to go places without people around him asking for more money. So when Doris Moore said that she would help him keep control of the rest of the money he had left in 2009, he said yes. Later that year he went missing, and then in January of 2010 they found his body. Moore was found buying duct tape, trash bags, and plastic sheeting around the time he went missing in   2009, the blame was being pointed at her. She denies it now, but as she goes to trial today we will see what the truth is. In Florida they normally have the death penalty, but she is not being charged for this. She also should be charged for messing with the family because in the time that Shakespeare went missing she was using his phone to text the family acting like him, and also since she had access to his bank account she would send money to family members for gifts and things like that. In the end a man is dead and all the fingers are pointing at Moore, we will see what happens in court. The trial should be over in the next few weeks.

There affair started a few weeks after David became the best spy in the nation. His spokes person did say that the affair did stop 4 months ago because they both knew that it was very wrong. For Petraeus he is very disappointed in himself, he lost his wonderful wife and also his favorite job. For him this job was the best of the best. As of now everyone is getting good lawyers and is getting ready for a big trial. Obama right now is trying to find someone to take his place in the CIA.

Having the flu can cause Autism

According to study, women who are pregnant and get the flu have twice the likely-hood of having a child with Autism.  They don't know yet what causes the baby to have it, they know that its not from the high fevers that cause it. The U.S. Centers For Disease Control are Prevention looking at kids from the age of 3-14 born from 1997-2003 and only a small percentage ended up having autism. Then they asked the mothers if they had any signs of the flu while being pregnant. The study found that if the fever from the flu lasted more then a week before the third trimester, the baby had a huge chance that it was going to have autism. Getting the shot does fight against getting influenza, but nothings been shown that it for sure stops the kid from getting autism. But pregnant women are advised to get the flu shot.

homes are destroyed in the big storm

On Tuesday morning Queens was declared to have the highest risk of being flooded, yet over 50 homes were on fire. Hurricane Sandy was making its way through New York last night leaving its mark pretty noticeable, the high winds, the flooding and the fires make it very noticeable that something bad happened. Firefighters were out all  night trying to help. The water was so high that they had to go out in boats. Luckily the president had signed a 'major disaster declaration' for these areas, basically telling everyone to get out of the area because it was unsafe. Some of the blazes were unable to get to, and get put out. most everyone got out of the houses that we know of. There are still many people stranded because of the storm, with no power or food.

Can whales talk like humans?

This week it was proven that other animals are just as curious as we are. In San Diego a white whale named Noc sounded like he was trying to mimic humans. The only time he tries was when humans were near him in the water. Words are not actually coming out of his mouth, but its the sounds that we would make. Its another step closer to other species understanding us and vise-versa. If you watch the video its pretty cool to see. He is being closely watched by a team of marine biologists.

Robin Roberts comes home

Robin Roberts is a huge face for 'Good Morning America' but she has had to take a break from the show because she had to have a bone marrow transplant to treat her MDS. MDS is myelodysplastic syndrome which affect the bone marrow and the blood. Just like any disease it can be mild and not that bad while others might be life threatening. Robin finally got home last Wednesday after having to be at the hospital for a month. As of right now everything seems to be going great. She will be returning to 'GMA' as soon as she knows she is 100% good again. As of right now she is laying low at home, she still has to be careful because of the transplant she has a new immune system, making it not protecting as well as it should. She has to be careful with what she does. She tweeted "there's no place like home", she is happy and thankful.

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj Fight Behind the Scenes

This week Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey got in a huge fight on the show 'American Idol'. During the fight Nicki Minaj threatened Carey saying "If i had a gun, i would shoot the b***h." Because of what Nicki said it has made Carey feel very uncomfortable, and she is a little bit scared for herself and her family. Carey still wants to do the show because she loves helping younger people try and accomplish what shes done with her life. She loves being a mentor and helping everyone. But with this still she is very scared, she has had more security hired for herself, and is watching her kids closely. Nicki still wont admit to saying what she apparently said. They are both still working close to each other on the set, but they said they wouldn't mess things up. Nicki said that they would get in more fights, Carey just replied with "no, we will not." The fighting between them will also bring the ratings up on the TV show.

Girl Killed Before Testifying in Court

Last Thursday was the last time Shania Gray was seen. This 16 year old had reported that she had been sexually abused by Franklin Davis. They had known each other because Gray was his babysitter, and since he abused her she would not go back to babysit. He even went to threatening her if she told anyone about what he did. Eventually her grandmother got curious as to why she would not babysit anymore. Gray had no choice but to tell her. On Thursday he talked to her, she did not know it was him. She thought it was someone wondering about the trial. She went to a park nearby and then went down by the river where they were supposed too meet. The conversation did not last long, until he shot her and stepped on her neck and threw her body into the river. It was her third day at school, and she had only been out of school for about a hour until she was murdered. He is now being charged with murder and sexual abuse. His bail is $2 million. Davis confessed to murdering her once the police found the body.

At one of Carrie Underwood's concerts in Louisville, KY Carrie gives one of her fans something he will never forget. The fans name was Chase he was 12 years old and was holding a sign that said "Will you be my first kiss?" Out of everyone in the crowd she spotted the sign and told the young boy to come up on stage. He had no idea what was going on but he went up there. Carrie went up to him and asked him how old he was, and then told him that she did not have her first kiss till she was 14 years old. She then looks at him and asks him "so how are we going to do this?" he said "lip to lip" like any boy looking up at her would say. She tells him to close his eyes then plants one on his lips. Afterwards she tells him, with smiles on both of there faces, that her husband is somewhere backstage and that he might be looking for him later. Once he was off stage she announced that this was a one time thing and that all the guys in the audience could stop looking for markers now.

Students Return to School

As many know Chicago teachers have been on strike. Many students skipped school, but the others still went to school sat and did nothing all day at school. Some parents sent there children to day cares so that they would be doing something and being with others. Families were very flustered and disorganized not knowing where to send there kids or what to do with them during the day when they were at work. Finally on Wednesday the teachers went back to school, the strike lasted 70 days. The teachers did not get everything that they wanted but they got a lot more that they wanted. The laid-off teachers also got something from this, any job that opened in the school the laid-off people would get the first call for if they wanted it. This whole thing will take a long time, the teachers will not see the difference right away but over time they will see it.

Samsung pays Apple $1 Billion

Apple claims that Samsung is stealing Apples' ideas with phones, music, and tablets. Even though it was not Samsung that they were suing, Samsung being the biggest Smartphone makers said that they would take the heat and fight back for all the other smaller companies out there. Apple filed the case in the summer of 2012,  Apple had there lawsuit against Samsung trying to get $2.5 billion, Samsung also fought back, not asking as much but asking for $399 million. Some of Apples charges were dropped, and almost all of Samsung were dropped. It went around the news saying that they sent all the money in 30 trucks full of dimes, this story even though it was very funny was false. It started at El Deforma, a place that is known for making stories up.

Apple also wants Smartphone companies to take off the market anything that has anything like the IPhone, IPad, or IPad. Doing this would and could destroy any other companies out there. It would cause them to have to take back millions of dollars and it would be a waist also.

I believe that this whole thing is not right, there should be some patents. But some go to far, you need to have some competition out there. There has to be something out there that is different from everything else, it cant all look and do the same thing. So I think that Samsung should be able to keep everything that they have made, because in this generation there is not much out there that they have not done, so you should not be able to put restrictions on stuff, definitively not on technology. Change will always happen there is nothing you can do about it. It happens, and we have to live with it.
