Robin Roberts is a huge face for 'Good Morning America' but she has had to take a break from the show because she had to have a bone marrow transplant to treat her MDS. MDS is myelodysplastic syndrome which affect the bone marrow and the blood. Just like any disease it can be mild and not that bad while others might be life threatening. Robin finally got home last Wednesday after having to be at the hospital for a month. As of right now everything seems to be going great. She will be returning to 'GMA' as soon as she knows she is 100% good again. As of right now she is laying low at home, she still has to be careful because of the transplant she has a new immune system, making it not protecting as well as it should. She has to be careful with what she does. She tweeted "there's no place like home", she is happy and thankful.
