Having the flu can cause Autism

According to study, women who are pregnant and get the flu have twice the likely-hood of having a child with Autism.  They don't know yet what causes the baby to have it, they know that its not from the high fevers that cause it. The U.S. Centers For Disease Control are Prevention looking at kids from the age of 3-14 born from 1997-2003 and only a small percentage ended up having autism. Then they asked the mothers if they had any signs of the flu while being pregnant. The study found that if the fever from the flu lasted more then a week before the third trimester, the baby had a huge chance that it was going to have autism. Getting the shot does fight against getting influenza, but nothings been shown that it for sure stops the kid from getting autism. But pregnant women are advised to get the flu shot.
