Teens on the way to prom save lives

In Florida this last weekend some seniors that were on their way to prom pulled over after seeing a van flip in front of them. All of the kids had their prom dresses and tux's on, but that did not stop them from running to the vehicle and pulling 7 people out of the flipped van. The van was in front of the limo they were in, the noticed that the van started swerving all over the road. It hit the wall and flipped in front of them. There were 7 people in the car, 5 adults and 2 kids. The kids were 9 and 2. The driver has been charged with not having the proper seating for the kids. One of the girls did have blood all over her dress, but her boyfriend got it off. The prom people managed to make it to the prom only 15 min late.

Diamonds have been found

The diamonds that were stolen from a private jet in Europe back in February have finally been found. Over $50 million in diamonds were stolen, and they have found and arrested 33 people that are in connection with the robbery. There were 8 people in the van that stole all of the diamonds. One of the men who helped was arrested for doing something and then it was downhill from there. The police then went and found the other 7 men that were involved, they were in Switzerland. Another 24 people have been detained because they are suspects as of right now. This means that there are 33 people total in questioning. Right now no one is going on trial yet, but eventually they will.

Back to trial

In 2009 a young woman went to jail for the murder of her friend. She spent 4 years in jail waiting to start the trial. Then it got over turned and she was able to come home. The young woman is Amanda Knox, she was arrested in Italy. She came home and told everyone about the hard life in prison there. She had the prison guards there harass her, and do many other things to her. She wrote a book about everything she went through there. Just recently her case was thrown back into the pile, and she will have to go back there to be retrialed. While she is here in the united states she is making sure everyone knows what's going on, how she feels, and the trauma she went through. She came out last week and told everything.

i love turtles (:

Turtles are the most amazing creatures out there. They are so cute and cuddly, defiantly the ones that come out of the sea. They just crawl out of the sand hole and crawl toward the shore, #socute. The faster the cute little things run the more likely hood that they will survive! Once they get to the ocean they are all on their own. Because we, humans, do not really know how they are able to do this in the sand, we wanted to build something that would do the same thing. The Complex Rheology and Biomechanics research center decided to research the little things. Not only on sand but on other surfaces were the turtle able to keep the speed they had, so that was a clue that something else was going on. Did you know that turtle have wrists? Well they do! And that is how they are able to move so fast! But they did not want to start bringing the little things into labs so that is why they made the robot! FlipperBot was the name of the thing and it answered many questions about the turtle! Basically this will help conservationists learn how to help them! So cute!!

Gay soccer player comes out

Robbie Rogers who was playing soccer for the U.S. soccer team then switched to  England's Leeds United, had a huge secret on his chest. He came out after he was done playing on the US team that he was gay. He told everyone over an emotional blog. He is 25 years old. Rogers is one of the first known professional soccer players to come out and say that they are gay. Being that popular and keeping that secret inside is something huge and would be very hard. He said that he needs to choose between being himself or being a soccer player, and he isn't able to keep that in anymore. He almost makes it sound like he is not able to play soccer anymore, and that he wont be. Playing soccer would take him away from his big secret, it would make him happy. Many people are supporting him with his choice to come out and tell people about this.

The snow is great this spring!

This last week Wisconsin was hit with a massive storm. It started out with all rain, and when everyone was going to bed there was lighting, but when you woke up there was snow on the ground. In Appleton and places around there the power went out because the trees had ice on it and would hang onto the power lines. Also the power lines had a lot of ice on them. The weight brought them down. No one really expected it. The weird weather has been all over the untied states, there have been high winds almost in the 60s in California. Tornadoes all over the southern part of the US. Rain is everywhere, and there are dust storms in the west. There is going to be more snow coming very soon, but also possible rain. By Friday Door County should have an inch and a half.

It's the end

Channel 2 news has reported another snow storm to hit the united states again next week, and because of this no spring sports will be able to be played. The snow storm is going to be up to two feet of snow! Pete Patoniac is saying that he doesn't think spring will ever come now. The storm is set to hit on April 1st, which was last Monday, so on pretty sure that makes this an April fools joke. The snow is almost gone!

Founder of Claries being blackmailed

This last week the founder of Claires, the beauty supplies, was being blackmailed by the ex-housekeepers daughter. She was saying that she had some dairies from the past and it had all the truths about the family and the store. She was asking for $20billion. As soon as the family got the call from her trying to blackmail they called the cops to report it. Right now the daughter is being checked out, because of the way she said it she might not be charged with blackmail. The family might just pay her some money just so they can just get rid of this situation.

Operation Black Veil

'Operation black veil' is something the police officers in northeast Wisconsin are doing. The officers were looking for child predators here. They found 16 people so far and 7 of them have been charged. They did this by going online and acting like kids. They got 4 people at one time in the beginning. They went on Craigslist to look at ads for older people wanting little kids. They had people taken in Brown, Door, Shawano, Kenosha, Minocqua, and Marathon Counties. The officers were all over these counties ready to go where the messages told them to. The whole thing was a success and they got what they needed in the 3 days they did this. The next time they do this they want to make it much bigger.

Blades in airplanes

A few days ago the TSA decided that they would change the rules for things you can bring on planes. You can now bring a small pocket knife, it can't be more then 2.36 inches long or more then half an inch in width. Also if you are a golfer you are allowed to take two of your clubs onto the plane. What doesn't make sense is that why would you separate your clubs? And why would you need them with you on the plane. The knife idea is honestly just stupid. The flight attendance are completely against this idea, they are the last lines of defense. And they don't even get that stuff or special training. They don't like this idea and I think it will cause some huge upsets with them and the job. Giving us the leway to bring this on the plane is just givimg more of a way for flights to be taken over and get hurt. This is honestly just stupid.

Taken from your bed

On Friday a man in Florida's life started going south in a hurry. There were 6 people in the house at the time, 5 adults, a child, and two dogs. Jeffrey was in his bed room when it all came down. What happened was that  there was a sink hole under the house, and it finally went down. One woman said it sounded like a car hit the house when it happened. Jeffery's older brother ran into the bedroom, but he couldn't find the bed, it was right on top of the sink hole. He tried digging for him but he couldn't hear his brother and was pulled out. The house was evacuated and the police are now trying to find a way to get in and try and find him. The only problem is, is that they don't know if something more could go in. They are still looking. But as of now, there is no sign of life.

Diamonds on the run

This week a bunch of men stole over $50 million in diamonds. The diamonds were on a private jet in Europe. The men went to the gate and put a hole in and and drove through, then they drove to the plane got in and stole the diamonds. They took off with the box of diamonds. They found the car they were driving but it was burned pretty bad. The president of London thinks that they have already gotten rid of the diamonds and have the money now. The diamonds can also be changed by polishing them and things like this which will make it hard for the police to find the men who stole it. The likely hood of them finding the diamonds again are slim to nothing, the might be able to recover one or two, but the police are pretty much out of luck.

Lookout for the ex-LAPD

On January 29 this year Christopher Dorner killed Monica Quan and her fiance. He did this to get back at the LAPD for firing him in 2009. He believes it was this persons father that was the one to get him fired. SO he took revenge and killed his family( daughter and soon to be son-in-law).  He also said that he was going to go after other officers in LA. Once this happened he ran away and went into hiding. There was a millions dollar reward if someone were to find him. This turned into a huge manhunt. On Tuesday they had a lead that he was at a cabin in the San Bernardino Moutains so they went there and surrounded it. A standoff happened, some officers were shot and had to be brought to the hospital. After a little while the house started on fire. Once the house was done burning and the police officers went in and they found a body. As of right now they believe that it is him, but they wont stop the investigation until they are one hundred percent sure.

Daughter crashes car while trying to see her father

Many children these days have divorced parents.  It is very important that these parents explain to their children that they should not be scared of this divorce, or mad.  If these situations are clearly explained to then we can avoid big problems that may occur. The other day a six year old girl took her mothers car while she was sleeping. The six year old tried to drive it to the other side of town to visit her father. The police haven't released what her name is yet. The little girl drove into two cars, that were in park, and then ran into a utility pole. One of the parked cars then hit a third car. No one was hurt in the crash. For a six year old to even know how to drive a car is crazy. As of right now they aren't going to be pressing charges, but things may change in the near future. The girl did get to see her father in the end, only he met her at the police station.

Its the finale

30 Rock has been a great TV show to watch over the last seven years, but as of tonight you will only be able to watch reruns. Tonight's finale will be full of crazy surprises and will be a must watch.  The finale will be a hole hour long on top of it, compared to its half hour shows. Tina Fey's show was a great comedy and will be missed. The show was about Tina Fey and her TV show that she kept trying to make better. Tracy Jordan was one of the main characters in her shows, Jack was Tina's boss. The best of the best episodes was Rosemary's Baby. The next best one was 100, Tracy leaves the show(which happens a lot) and ratings go down. There were many other good TV shows on this series.

Police officer kills his family then himself.

In Las Vegas Monday night a 52 year old man killed his wife, 46 years old, and his child who was in the elementary age. His wife and himself were both officers in the Las Vegas Police people. His wife stopped in 2005 but he continued. On Monday night he killed both of them, then called 911 and told him that he was going to burn his house down and he would kill anyone who tried to stop him. When they showed up at his house he was holding the gun in his hand and standing on the lawn. They told him to drop it but he didn't  he just walked back into the burning house and that's when they believe he killed himself. Suicide police officers is pretty normal, last year 126 officers killed themselves. In 2009 one hundred and three police officers killed themselves and in 2008 one hundred and one did. Although this is sad, the numbers did go down. The families names have not yet been told.

Heads found at O'Hare

Over Christmas human heads were found at O'Hare International Airport. The crate was opened as a precautionary and that's when they found the 18 human heads. The heads still had the skin on them also. They then sent the heads to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. The examiner said that the heads had to foul play to them in the autopsy they took on them. The heads came from Crosse Pointe, Michigan and then were sent to Rome to have further research. Then the heads were brought back, but some of the paper work went wrong so that is why they ran into this problem. The heads were done with there research and were being brought back her to be cremated in a place in Chicago. Talk about something being over your head.

Family of 5 burn over night

Wednesday morning in Pikeville, Kentucky five people burned in there house. There were four children and an adult in the house. Three different fire departments showed up to the massive fire. They were able to put the fire out, but because they had to wait for the house to cool they did not save the people that were inside. As of right now they do not know why or how the house caught on fire. One firefighter did get injured but he was sent to the hospital and is doing fine. This is one of the biggest fires this area has seen in a very long time, it also is a very devastating fire. the names of the people that died are not being named at the time.

On December 31, 2012, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles kissed to the ball-drop. Rumors are spreading that they are together, but they haven't said its true. They have been seen together all over. Taylor was there when Harry got his first tattoo in L.A. Harry went to Taylor's surprise birthday in England. They were side by side there. They have been seen at many parties together. They started all of this in December, and are still going strong. Taylor was playing in Dick Clark's New Year's rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. After she played she went down into the crowd by Harry, and in the video we see them count down into a kiss. Not scared about who is around them.
